SPANAWAY, Wash. – The College of Idaho women's tennis team play well throughout the evening, however, Pacific Lutheran won the points when needed, defeating the Lady Yotes, 8-1, at Sprinker Recreation Center.

PLU (1-0) won all three doubles points – including Allison McClure and Mariah Siemion outlasting Shae Stults and Tanya Greenwood at No. 2, 8-6.
The Lady Yotes (0-2) fought hard in singles' play, with a pair of players forcing tie-breaks. At No. 1, Stults lost a second-set tie break to Leah Newell, dropping the match – 6-1, 7-6, while at No. 2 Emily Tesnohlidek won the opening set and withstood a third set super-breaker to defeat Samantha Lund 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (10-8).
C of I concludes their trip to Washington tomorrow with a morning match vs. Puget Sound.
