NAMPA, Idaho - The tandem of Emily Tesnohlidek and Allie Boyd claimed a victory at No. 1 doubles' for The College of Idaho, but Linfield College swept the singles' ladder en route to an 8-1 victory at River City Racquet Club.

The match at No. 1 doubles' saw the Wildcats (1-0) Caroline Brigham and Mackenzie Fraser earn a break of Tesnohlidek to even the pro-set at 6-6. However, the Yotes broke back with two straight points to break a 30-30 deadlock, and Boyd held serve to earn the 8-6 victory.
The Yotes (0-1) played well at No. 2 doubles', as Shae Stults and Tanya Greenwood held a 6-5 lead, but Linfield tandem of Kaila Nip and Kelly Wantanabe won the final three points to claim the victory.
Linfield dominated the rest of the afternoon, as Gretchen Jernstedt and Marisa Kurne earned a 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles' over Cassie Low and Emilee Chapman, and swept all six singles' matches. C of I kept it close at No. 4, where Boyd forced a first-set tiebreak, but Kurne held off the freshman, 7-6, 6-3.
C of I returns to action next weekend with road matches at Pacific Lutheran and Puget Sound.
