TACOMA, Wash. - The College of Idaho opened up their weekend trip to the Evergreen State with a late night 8-1 setback at the University of Puget Sound at the UPS Tennis Center.
The Division III Loggers (6-3) claimed all three doubles points, including an 8-1 victory by Maddie Thiesse and Allison Embernate over Shae Stults and Hayley Hutchings at No. 1.
UPS won 5-of-6 singles' matches, with the Yotes earning a win at No. 2 - as Hutchings held a 6-5 lead in the first set over Jenna Gerdsen, when Gerdsen was forced to default due to injury.
The Lady Yotes (0-4) continue their trip tomorrow with a match at Pacific Lutheran.
