Biography

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AT C OF I: 
Wilson is in his fifth season with the Coyote men's basketball program. He achieved a Final Four finish (2024) and has been a three-time CCC regular season champion (2022-2024). He made three appearances in the National Tournament (2022-2024) and won the National Championship in 2023. Additionally, he is a two-time CCC Tournament champion (2022, 2023) and reached the Elite Eight in 2022.

2023-24: Played in 36 games, starting 2 – averaged 15.6 minutes per game, shooting 50.8% from the field. Scored a total of 164 points, averaging 4.6 points per game. Recorded 191 rebounds, averaging 5.3 per game, and tallied 28 assists. He had a season-high of 17 points in a game, demonstrating his scoring ability.

2022-23: Played a key role as a reserve in 36 games…averaged 14.2 minutes, 5.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.0 blocks a game…second on the team with 37 blocked shots…shot 54.7% from the field which was third on the team…on four occasions, he scored in double figures…against the Owls of Oregon Tech (Jan. 20), he went 6-for-6 from the field and 3-for-4 from the free-throw line to go along with seven rebounds…made 9 of 11 free throws on his way to 15 points against Northwest (Jan. 7)…nearly had a double double with nine points and 12 rebound in the NAIA First Round win against Westcliff (Mar. 7)…blocked a season-high four shots against Oregon Tech (Dec. 3)…on six occasions he dished out two assists.

2021-22: Played in all 35 games, starting the first four…averaged 5.3 points, making a team-best 58.5% (76-for-130) of his shots from the field…led the team with 44 blocked shots (1.3 bpg) and fifth in rebounds (142 / 4.1 rpg)…upped his game against CCC teams, averaging 6.2 points and 4.3 rebounds per game in 20 contests…scored in double figures in three games with a season-high 18 against Multnomah (Jan. 7)…had 12 points against Northwest (WA) on Jan. 15 and in the first round of the NAIA Opening Round against Vanguard (Mar. 11)…had four rejections in the season opener against Rocky Mountain (Oct. 29)…had 12 games with at least two blocked shots…nearly had his first career double double against Evergreen (Feb. 12) with nine points and 11 rebounds – six of which were offensive…on three occasions, handed out three assists.

2020-21: Played in all 17 games, including five starts, during the COVID shortened season, averaging 5.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, leading the team with 14 blocked shots; recorded three double-digit scoring games, including 11 points vs. Lewis-Clark State and 10 points vs. Eastern Oregon; made 65-percent of his field goal attempts over the final eight games of the season.

2019-20: Used the season as a redshirt year.

Total: Across his collegiate career, he played in 125 games, starting 11 – averaged 15.2 minutes per game, with a total of 636 points, averaging 5.1 points per game. He tallied 575 rebounds and 100 assists, proving to be a valuable contributor on both ends of the court.

HIGH SCHOOL:
A 2019 graduate of Idaho Falls High, where, as a senior, helped his team to the 4A state title; averaged 10 points, six rebounds and three blocked shots per game, earning 4A All-State and 4A Defensive Player of the Year honors; also played baseball as a prep, helping his team to a state runner-up finish in 2019.

PERSONAL:
Joining the Yote Fam from Idaho Falls, ID, Paul was raised by Kent and Vanetta Wilson. Aside from his efforts on the court, Paul is also working hard in the classroom in pursuit of a degree in Accounting. He chose The College of Idaho for the great accounting department and the family aspect the campus has, in addition to the connections he made while visiting with professors and students.
