Biography

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AT C OF I:
Radford is in his fifth season with the Coyote men's basketball program. He has received 2x First Team All-Conference awards, achieved a Final Four finish (2024), won 3x CCC regular season championships (2022-2024), made 3x National Tournament appearances (2022-2024), secured a National Championship (2023), earned 2x CCC Tournament Championships (2022, 2023), and reached the Elite Eight (2022).

2023-24: Played in 36 games, starting in 29… averaged 23.2 minutes per game, making 45.5% of his shots from the field… scored a total of 435 points, averaging 12.1 points per game… recorded 48 assists, averaging 1.3 assists per game… contributed 62 rebounds, with 5 offensive and 57 defensive… registered 1 block and 43 steals… had a free-throw percentage of 87.8% (79 of 90)… made 82 three-pointers during the season.

2022-23: A key reserve for the Yotes, playing in all 37 games... named to the All-Cascade Collegiate Conference Team... averaged 20.7 minutes per game... led the team in points (477)... averaged 12.9 points and 1.8 rebounds a game... shot 45.8% from the field, 45.7% from 3, and 90% from the free throw line... first in free throw percentage and free throws made (72)... fourth on the team in steals (33)... made a 3-point basket in 33 games, 12 of which he had four 3-pointers or more... had 7 games with 20 points or more... scored 24 points to go along with 2 assists and 4 steals against Madonna (Nov. 26)... scored a career high 28 points, making six 3-pointers against Corban (Jan. 14)... had a 25 point game, with 10 made shots from the field against Evergreen (Feb. 18)...  had 17 points in the CCC Tournament Championship game against Eastern Oregon (Feb. 27).

2021-22: A key reserve in 33 games, averaging 13.9 minutes, 8.1 points and 1.6 rebounds a game…made 44.4% of his 3-point field goal attempts, including a pair of five 3-pointer games against Montana Western (Nov. 19) and Multnomah (Feb. 23)…second on the team in 3-point field goals made (52)…made a 3 pointer in 23 games and multiple 3-pointers in 10 games…logged a season-high 23 minutes on a pair of occasions…scored in double figures in 13 games, including 21 against Walla Walla (Dec. 17)…had three assists against Northwest (Jan. 15)…had 18 points and seven steals at Lewis-Clark State (Feb. 4).

2020-21: Saw action in 15 games during the COVID shortened season, averaging 5.1 points and 1.7 rebounds per game; recorded three double-digit scoring games, including a season-high 12 points vs. the University of Portland, converting all four 3-point attempts; made 10-of-11 free throws on the season.

Total: Played in 122 games, starting in 31… averaged 18.8 minutes per game, making 44.6% of his shots from the field… scored a total of 1,282 points, averaging 10.5 points per game… recorded 123 assists, averaging 1.0 assists per game… contributed 210 rebounds, with 45 offensive and 165 defensive… registered 1 block and 149 steals… had a free-throw percentage of 88.1% (199 of 226).

HIGH SCHOOL:
A 2020 graduate of Wood River High, where he was the Great Basin Conference Player of the Year, Times News Player of the Year, and 4A All-State selection as a senior; averaged 24.9 points per game as a senior, setting school records for points in a game (51), season (597) and career (1,393); earned All-GBC honors as a sophomore and junior.  
 
PERSONAL:
Joining the Yote Fam from Hailey, ID, Johnny was raised by John and Sue Radford. Aside from his efforts on the court, Johnny is also working hard in the classroom in pursuit of a degree in Psychology. He chose The College of Idaho because of the positive culture and excellent basketball coaches.
