Biography

AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Nilsson is in his fourth season with the Coyote alpine ski program.

2017: Earned All-NWCSC honors after finishing seventh in the conference individual standings, placing in the Top-10 in 7-of-8 league qualifiers; recorded back-to-back sixth-place finishes at Bogus Basin to end the regular-season; placed 19th in the giant slalom and 22nd in the slalom at the USCSA Western Regional; placed 17th in the slalom and 41st in the giant slalom at the USCSA National Championships; earned USCSA All-America honors with a third-place finish in the Skier-Cross event at Nationals.

2016: Finished 13th in the NWCSC individual standings, including a season-best eighth-place finish at 49-Degrees North; placed 23rd overall in the slalom at the USCSA Western Regionals, helping C of I to the team championship; named a USCSA Scholar-Athlete.

2015: Earned All-NWCSC honors after finishing fifth in the conference individual standings; had a season-best second-place finish at Mount Bachelor in the first qualifying event of the season; placed 14th in the slalom and 19th in the giant slalom at the USCSA Western Regionals; played 31st overall in the alpine combined at the USCSA National Championships.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2014 graduate of Tesoro High, where he was a member of the cross country and track teams.

HOME MOUNTAIN: Snow Summit

PERSONAL: Studying health sciences; son of Kenneth and Paula Nilsson; founder of the C of I Car Club.
