Biography

AT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: Klassen is in his fifth season with the Coyote baseball program.

2016: Was a key member of the Coyote bullpen, making 22 appearances, going 4-2 with a 3.76 ERA in 40.2 innings, walking just eight and striking out 28; picked up his first career win, throwing four shutout innings in a 6-3 win over Corban on April 3; threw two perfect innings to log a save at British Columbia on April 24; struck out a career-high seven men in five-plus innings of work in a 7-4 win over Simpson on May 1.

2015: Made 10 appearances on the mound, going 0-1 with a 6.53 ERA in 20.2 innings of work; recorded 12 walks and 13 strikeouts - including three strikeouts against both the University of Mary and Whitman College; made two starts, including four and two-thirds innings of two-run ball against the University of Mary.

2014: Did not see game action; named to the Cascade Conference All-Academic Team.

2013: Used the season as a redshirt year.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2012 graduate of Bishop Kelly High, where he helped his team to a runner-up finish at the 2012 4A state tournament; pitched during the summer of 2012 for the Hampton Inn Owls in the Boise Summer League, going 2-1 with a 5.57 ERA; also has played American Legion ball for the Boise Barons.
