Four Yotes Earn Weekly Conference Honors After Undefeated Weekend

CALDWELL, Idaho – Following an undefeated weekend across all of The College of Idaho athletics, four Yotes were recognized Monday with conference Player of the Week honors after standout performances on the football field, soccer pitch and volleyball court.
 
Leading the way was Frontier Conference Offensive Player of the Week Caden Young, who powered No. 3 College of Idaho to a victory over Montana State University-Northern with one of the most prolific offensive performances in the NAIA this season. The quarterback accounted for six total touchdowns, throwing for three scores and rushing for three more. Young completed 18-of-22 passes for 291 yards through the air while adding 98 rushing yards on nine carries, producing 389 yards of total offense in the win.
 
On the soccer pitch, Abbi Roubidoux earned Cascade Collegiate Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors after scoring in victories over Warner Pacific and Walla Walla. The senior forward delivered the game-winning goal against Warner Pacific before opening the scoring in the Yotes' win over Walla Walla.
 
The historic weekend also saw Roubidoux continue her ascent in the College of Idaho record book. Her two goals tied the program's career goals record at 38 and matched the program career points record with 92, placing her alongside some of the greatest players in Yotes women's soccer history.
 
The Yotes volleyball program grabbed a pair of the CCC weekly awards after a road trip that included victories over No. 6 Corban and receiving votes Bushnell.
 
Setter Shaynee McWilliams was named CCC Setter of the Week for the fourth time this season after orchestrating one of the best offensive weekends of her career. McWilliams averaged 11.38 assists per set while helping the Yotes extend their program-best start to 13-0. She also contributed 3.6 digs per set, averaged 0.5 blocks per set and recorded five service aces while guiding College of Idaho to victories over two nationally recognized opponents. Her efforts earned national recognition during the week and continued her standout start to the 2026 campaign.
 
Rounding out the honors was Avery Lewis, who claimed CCC Defender of the Week accolades after anchoring the Yotes' back-row defense. Lewis averaged 4.25 digs per set across the two matches, collecting 34 total digs in victories over Corban and Bushnell. She posted 17 digs in each contest, including a 5.67 digs-per-set performance against Bushnell, while also adding two service aces during the weekend.
 
The four weekly honors cap a remarkable week for The College of Idaho, which saw football, women's soccer, men's soccer, cross country, swimming, and volleyball all went undefeated this weekend.
