CALDWELL, Idaho – Following another strong week of competition, three student-athletes from The College of Idaho have been recognized with weekly conference awards.
InkJung Charnchanayothin was named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Women's Golfer of the Week,
Kylee Quinton earned Cascade Collegiate Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week honors, and
Rylie Byington was selected as the Frontier Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
Quinton continued her impressive season by leading the Yotes to a team title at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge. Competing against one of the strongest fields in the country, she crossed the finish line second overall, trailing only reigning NAIA national champion Jaynie Halterman. Her performance helped The College of Idaho secure the team victory against a field loaded with programs expected to qualify for the upcoming NAIA Cross Country National Championships.
On the golf course, Charnchanayothin collected her second individual tournament championship of the season in dominant fashion. The Yote standout fired a two-round total of 146, finishing six strokes clear of the runner-up to claim medalist honors. Her victory continued a stellar fall campaign and helped pace The College of Idaho in tournament play.
Byington powered the top-ranked Yotes football team to another victory, rushing for 115 yards and four touchdowns on the ground while averaging 6.4 yards per carry. The standout running back now ranks second nationally with 17 rushing touchdowns and third in the nation with 108 points scored. His performance helped keep No. 1 The College of Idaho undefeated on the season as the Yotes remained among the nation's elite.
The trio of weekly honors adds to an already impressive fall season for The College of Idaho, highlighting the success of Yote student-athletes across multiple sports.
