LA GRANDE, Ore. – The College of Idaho men's basketball team turned in a competitive effort Tuesday night but came up short in an 83-68 road loss to I-84 rival Eastern Oregon at Quinn Coliseum.
The Yotes stayed within striking distance for much of the night and trailed just 41-35 at the break. College of Idaho continued to fight in the second half, but timely shots and free throws by the home team made it difficult to close the gap.
Dougie Peoples paced the Yotes with 18 points, connecting on three 3-pointers, while Utrillo Morris added 15 points and seven assists to steady the offense. Alex Germer provided a strong all-around performance with 14 points and eight rebounds, and Rey Johnston chipped in 11 points and eight boards as College of Idaho battled inside.
Despite the result, the Yotes showed toughness on the road against one of the conference's top teams and remained competitive through long stretches. College of Idaho drops to 14-7 overall and 9-4 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play and will look to respond quickly when it continues its road swing Saturday at Warner Pacific. Overall, the Yotes split the 2025-26 Cascade Conference series with the Mountaineers.
