Yotes Extend Home Win Streak with CCC Win Over Corban

CALDWELL, Idaho - The College of Idaho men's basketball team extended its home win streak to four and avenged last season's lone home loss with a 72–52 Cascade Collegiate Conference victory over Corban on Friday night at the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

The Yotes (12-6, 7-3 CCC) set the tone early, building a 38–23 halftime lead and never allowing the Warriors to seriously threaten in the second half. College of Idaho shot 53.8 percent from the field in the opening half and used a balanced attack to stretch the margin to as many as 23 points.

Dougie Peoples led all scorers with 22 points, knocking down 7-of-10 shots from the floor and a perfect 4-of-4 from beyond the arc. Peoples capped a strong weekend with another efficient performance as the Yotes swept their two-game conference slate.

Freshman Rey Johnston added 14 points on 6-of-12 shooting and contributed four blocks, continuing a productive weekend that showcased his impact on both ends of the floor. Tucker Tiddens chipped in 13 points and eight rebounds off the bench, while Utrillo Morris dished out eight assists to go with six points and six rebounds.

College of Idaho finished the night shooting 45.9 percent overall and outrebounded Corban 47-33, scoring 40 points in the paint. The Warriors were held to 31.6 percent shooting and were led by T.J. Zimmermann's 19 points.

The win marked the Yotes' fourth straight at home and came against the only team that had beaten them on their home floor last season, adding another emphatic note to a successful CCC weekend.
