Klamath Falls, Ore. – The College of Idaho men's and women's golf teams both earned impressive second-place finishes at the Run-In at the Ranch, hosted by Oregon Tech at the scenic Running Y Ranch Resort. Despite weather challenges that canceled the second round on Day One due to a run-in with thunderstorms and water on the course, the Yotes delivered standout performances across the board.
The Yotes men's team posted a combined score of 585 (297-288), finishing just three strokes behind Oregon Tech. Leading the way was Carson King, who captured individual medalist honors with a tournament-best 140 (-4). King was electric in the final round, firing seven birdies to total 11 birdies across the event.
Lucas Rynearson tied for second place with a score of 142 (-2), showcasing remarkable consistency with only three bogeys and five birdies over two rounds. Braden Brown also made his mark, finishing 12th at 151 (+7), while Parker Edwards and Nathan Ishaya rounded out the scoring for the Yotes with totals of 154 (+10) and 156 (+12), respectively.
The College of Idaho women's team finished with a score of 641 (319-322), securing second place behind Oregon Tech. Reece Garey led the Yotes with a brilliant performance, tying for first place with a 146 (+2). Garey recorded seven birdies during the tournament and narrowly missed out on the individual title after a playoff.
Lauryn Bulger finished 10th with a score of 159 (+15), followed closely by Olivia Lammey, who placed 12th at 161 (+17). Karissa Goff and Halle Richter completed the team's scoring with rounds of 177 (+33) and 185 (+41), respectively.
The Yotes will look to carry their momentum into the Pacific Invitational hosted by Pacific University (Ore.) on October 4th and 5th.
