Coyote Athletic Bands Expand Game Day Presence

CALDWELL, Idaho – The College of Idaho Athletic Bands are turning up the volume this season with a commitment unlike any year before. For the first time in program history, the Coyote Marching Band and Pep Band will perform at every home football game and at both men's and women's basketball contests inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

In past years, the bands have been staples at Simplot Stadium on Saturdays and at select men's basketball games during the week. Women's games, however, were not part of the regular rotation, and basketball appearances were typically limited to one night each week. That all changes in 2025.

"This is a major step forward for our program and for the game day experience at C of I," said Director of Athletic Bands Luis Fisher. "When fans walk into Simplot or the JAAC, they're going to feel the energy immediately. We're bringing the full experience to every game, every week."

The expansion is made possible by the Athletic Bands' recent move under the athletics umbrella, creating a closer alignment between Coyote teams and their musical counterparts. With the shift comes greater access to resources, scheduling support, and visibility across campus.

The result? More sound, more spirit, and more reasons for fans to stay loud from kickoff to final whistle.

"The band is an extension of our teams," Fisher added. "Football, men's basketball, women's basketball - they all deserve that same level of support. We're here to raise the atmosphere and give our student-athletes the best environment possible."

Fans can catch the Coyote Marching Band at all five football home dates at Simplot Stadium this fall, while the Pep Band will make the JAAC one of the loudest venues in the Cascade Conference all winter long.

With more performances and more presence, the College of Idaho Athletic Bands are set to help make 2025-26 one of the most electric seasons yet.
