No. 3 College of Idaho Celebrates CCC Title With Rout of Evergreen State

CALDWELL, Idaho – The No. 3-ranked College of Idaho men's basketball team kicked off senior weekend in dominant fashion, completing a season sweep of The Evergreen State College with a 97-46 victory on Friday night at the newly renamed Elgin Baylor Arena inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

The Yotes (25-2, 20-1 CCC), who clinched their fifth consecutive Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) regular-season championship last weekend, took the opportunity to celebrate in front of their home crowd, cutting down the nets following the win.

An atypical starting five took the floor for College of Idaho, including senior Bryan St. Clair, who made his first career start and delivered a standout performance. St. Clair set new career highs in minutes (24), blocks (1), assists (6), and steals (2), playing a key role in the Yotes' dominant effort.

Drew Wyman led the charge with 14 points and eight rebounds, while Johnny Radford added 13 points, including two 3-pointers. Paul Wilso, Alex Germer, and Dougie Peoples each contributed 12 points as the Yotes stormed out to a 51-24 halftime lead and never looked back.

College of Idaho dominated the boards, outrebounding the Geoducks (2-22, 2-19 CCC) by a 58-30 margin and scoring 50 points in the paint. The Yotes' depth was on display, with 44 points coming from the bench.

Evergreen State struggled offensively, shooting just 32.2% from the field and 15% from beyond the arc. Bradley Graham led the Geoducks with 11 points, while Solomon Campbell pulled down a team-high nine rebounds.

The game marked a historic moment for College of Idaho, as the basketball arena inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center was officially renamed Elgin Baylor Arena in honor of the NBA Hall of Famer who played at the school in 1954. A halftime ceremony honored Baylor's impact on basketball and civil rights.

College of Idaho will close out the regular season on Saturday, honoring its senior class before shifting focus to the postseason.
