SALEM, Ore. — After suffering their first conference loss in nearly three years to Corban University earlier this season, the College of Idaho men's basketball team delivered a statement victory Saturday night, defeating the Warriors 81-59 on the road.
The Yotes controlled the game from the outset, building a 39-26 halftime lead behind stifling defense and efficient shooting. They extended the lead to as many as 31 points in the second half, shooting 58.1% from the field over the final 20 minutes.
Johnny Radford paced the offense with 17 points, connecting on four of five three-point attempts. Drew Wyman added 12 points and four rebounds, while Straton Rogers chipped in 10 points on 4-for-6 shooting. Samaje Morgan dished out a game-high eight assists.
College of Idaho's defense was relentless, forcing 13 turnovers and turning them into 12 points. The Yotes also dominated the paint, outscoring Corban 46-28 inside and winning the rebounding battle 36-33.
Corban's Spivey Word led the Warriors with 16 points, but the team struggled to match the Yotes' balanced attack and defensive pressure.
The Yotes' commanding response reaffirmed their position as a top contender in the conference.
