Yotes Soar Past Eagles To Extend Unbeaten Run

SNOHOMISH, Wash. — The College of Idaho men's soccer team is peaking at the perfect time.

Riding a wave of momentum, the Yotes closed out the regular season with a dominant 6-1 victory over Northwest University on Saturday night, extending their unbeaten streak to seven matches and securing their fourth consecutive win. The emphatic result sends The College of Idaho (6-3-4, 6-3-3 CCC) into the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championship Tournament with confidence and firepower to spare.

Nico Erlank set the tone early, scoring in the 20th minute off a pinpoint assist from Pierre Fabre. The duo connected again just after halftime, with Erlank finishing a second goal in the 48th minute to double the lead.

After Northwest briefly cut the deficit to 2-1 in the 54th minute, the Yotes erupted for four unanswered goals in a 24-minute span. Keidin Green restored the two-goal cushion in the 66th minute with a solo effort, followed by a clinical finish from Carlos Camacho in the 73rd. Just two minutes later, Krew Christensen added his name to the scoresheet, and Camacho capped the night with his second goal in the 90th minute, assisted by Green.

Fabre was electric in the midfield, dishing out two assists and creating havoc on set pieces, while goalkeeper Matej Hron made three saves to preserve the win.

The Yotes outshot the Eagles 17-9 and held a 9-3 edge in corner kicks, showcasing their dominance on both ends of the pitch.

With the regular season in the books, The College of Idaho now turns its attention to the CCC Tournament, which kicks off November 8 in Medford, Oregon. The Yotes enter the postseason as one of the hottest teams in the league, filled with confidence to turn heads at the tournament.
