PORTLAND, Ore. — The College of Idaho men's and women's golf teams turned in competitive performances at the Pacific Invitational, held at the prestigious Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club. Facing a deep field of Northwest competition, the Yotes women placed fifth out of eight teams, while the men secured sixth place among 13 programs.
The two-day, 36-hole tournament featured 78 male and 50 female golfers from institutions including Willamette, Whitman, George Fox, Lewis & Clark, Pacific Lutheran, Puget Sound, Warner Pacific, and Linfield.
On the women's side, Olivia Lammey led the Yotes with a standout performance, finishing 8th overall at +17. Lammey surged on day two, carding three birdies and shooting +7 for the round. Reece Garey followed closely in 13th place (+19), also improving on the second day with a +6 score. Lauryn Bulger placed 18th (+21), Karrisa Goff finished 36th (+30), and Halle Richter rounded out the squad in 59th (+34).
The men's team was paced by Lucas Rynearson, who delivered a remarkable showing to finish 4th at -2. Rynearson's second round was electric, shooting -5 and going seven-under over a nine-hole stretch, highlighted by an eagle on hole 10 and nine birdies across the tournament. Carson King was just one stroke behind, finishing 7th at -1, with a strong -2 second round. Nathan Ishaya and Braden Brown both finished at +4 (38th and 42nd respectively), while Parker Edwards concluded the event at +10 (61st).
The Yotes will compete next at home at The College of Idaho Invite on October 13th.
