Yotes Collect Six Athlete of the Week Honors Across Cascade and Frontier Conferences

CALDWELL, Idaho – It was another banner week for College of Idaho athletics, as the Yotes claimed six total Athlete of the Week awards between the Frontier Conference and Cascade Collegiate Conference, the most of any school in the Cascade. The recognitions, sponsored by Erck Hotels (Frontier Conference) and McDonald's / Urban Edge Network (Cascade Conference), spanned five sports and underscored the Yotes' depth and balance across the fall season.

Frontier Conference – Erck Hotels Player of the Week

Football Defensive Player of the Week – Mason Priddy
Mason Priddy, a junior defensive back from Vancouver, Wash., earned Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors after a clutch performance in the No. 16-ranked Yotes' 7-0 win over Eastern Oregon. Priddy totaled five tackles, a tackle-for-loss, and two interceptions, including a game-sealing pick in the final 30 seconds to preserve the shutout and keep C of I perfect in Frontier West Division play. It marks his first career Frontier weekly honor.

Cascade Collegiate Conference – McDonald's Player of the Week Presented by Urban Edge Network

College of Idaho dominated the CCC awards, earning five of the league's 11 honors across cross country, soccer, volleyball, and golf.

Men's Cross Country – Runner of the Week
Isaac Anttonen, a sophomore from Boise, Idaho, was named CCC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week after finishing fifth out of 341 runners at the Blazing Tiger Classic. Anttonen clocked 24:59.72 over the 8K course, leading the No. 4-ranked Yotes to a second-place team finish.

Women's Cross Country – Runner of the Week
Rozzlyn Cazier, a junior from Twin Falls, Idaho, earned CCC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week honors after leading the No. 9-ranked Yotes to a dominant team victory. Cazier finished fourth out of 275 runners with a time of 21:37.57, pacing the Yotes to a 30-point margin of victory.

Men's Soccer – Offensive Player of the Week
Eric Hornung, a senior midfielder from Nuremberg, Germany, was selected as the CCC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week after a spectacular performance in a 9-1 win over the University of Providence. Hornung recorded four goals and three assists for an 11-point outing, converting at a .714 shot-on-goal rate.

Volleyball – Attacker of the Week
Mia Hutchinson, a senior outside hitter from Star Valley, Wyo., was named the CCC Volleyball Attacker of the Week after powering the No. 19-ranked Yotes to wins over (RV) Southern Oregon and Oregon Tech. Hutchinson tallied 33 kills (4.13 per set) on a .429 hitting percentage while adding 22 digs, three blocks, and a service ace.

Men's Golf – Golfer of the Week
Lucas Rynearson, a junior from Fruitland, Idaho, claimed CCC Men's Golfer of the Week honors after capturing the individual title at the Warrior Fall Invitational. Rynearson fired rounds of 69 and 71 (140 total), closing with an eagle and eight birdies to secure the win.

With six total weekly award winners, one from the Frontier Conference and five from the Cascade Collegiate Conference, the College of Idaho continues to stand out as one of the NAIA's most well-rounded and competitive athletic programs.
