CALDWELL, Idaho — Just 24 hours after a tough loss, the College of Idaho Yotes roared back with a commanding 91-72 win over Bushnell University on Saturday evening at the J.A. Albertson Activity Center.
The Yotes were firing on all cylinders, led by a balanced attack from their starters. Johnny Radford paced the offense with 17 points, including three three-pointers, while Drew Wyman showcased efficiency with 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting, along with seven rebounds. Samaje Morgan contributed 15 points and a game-high eight assists, while Straton Rogers recorded a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
College of Idaho capitalized on their depth, outscoring Bushnell in second-chance points (17-11) and points off turnovers (17-11). Their defense also proved effective, limiting turnovers to just five compared to Bushnell's 12.
Bushnell saw a strong performance from Cory Johnson, who led all scorers with 22 points and added seven rebounds. Squeeky Johnson chipped in 16 points, including four three-pointers, while Luke Smith added 13 off the bench. Despite shooting 45.9% from the field, the Beacons couldn't keep pace with the Yotes' relentless attack and were outscored 52-35 in the first half.
College of Idaho will look to build on this momentum as they continue conference play on the road next week.
