Radford’s Record-Breaking Night Lifts Yotes Over Multnomah

CALDWELL, IdahoJohnny Radford made history and led the College of Idaho to a thrilling 98-88 victory over Multnomah University Friday night at the J.A. Albertson Activities Center. Radford broke the school's career three-point record on his first attempt of the game, hitting his 300th career triple in the opening minutes.

The Yotes surged early, using Radford's record-setting shot to ignite an offensive burst that saw them build a double-digit lead. Behind strong defensive play and contributions across the lineup, College of Idaho closed the first half with a 49-40 advantage.

Multnomah fought back, cutting the deficit to single digits multiple times in the second half. Keilan Torkornoo led the Lions with a team-high 20 points and seven rebounds, while Marje Windfield added 16 points, including four three-pointers. Alileyon Ford provided a spark off the bench with 15 points, hitting all seven of his free-throw attempts.

For the Yotes, Dougie Peoples delivered a standout performance off the bench, scoring a game-high 18 points, including four three-pointers. Radford added 14 points, going 4-for-7 from the field, while Drew Wyman also contributed 14 points with efficient shooting and strong defensive play. Straton Rogers anchored the paint with nine points, 13 rebounds, and five assists, notching one of the night's most complete performances.

College of Idaho's depth proved pivotal, as their reserves outscored Multnomah's bench 40-20. The Yotes' defense converted turnovers into 17 second-chance points and dominated in transition, posting 40 fast-break points compared to Multnomah's four.

Despite Multnomah's 44-40 rebounding edge, College of Idaho's sharp shooting – 49.3% from the field and 37.9% from beyond the arc – helped secure the win. Radford's record-breaking night, coupled with the Yotes' balanced attack, ensured they stayed atop the Cascade Conference standings.

The Yotes will look to extend their winning streak Saturday night when they host Warner Pacific.
