CLEVELAND, Ohio - The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and its corporate sponsor Allstate today announced the members of the Allstate NACDA Good Works Team Selection Comittee. The College of Idaho's VP of Athletics Reagan Rossi was selected along with Ross Bjork (The Ohio State Univ.), Dan Guerrero (UCLA), Brian Henderson (Patrick & Henry Community College), Etienne Thomas (Winston-Salem State Univ.), and Natalie Winkelfoos (Oberlin College). Joining the committee will also be former Univ. of Texas and NFL linebacker Sam Acho and ESPN reporter Holly Rowe, as well as an Allstate representative.
The Allstate NACDA Good Works Teams will be announcing the winter team next month and then will announce spring and fall teams as the seasons arrive. The award will go to student-athletes who work to help others with volunteerism and civic engagement above their success on the playing surface. "The Allstate NACDA Good Works Team Selection Committee members all have a valuable presence within intercollegiate athletics with an eye on our industry's involvement in the corporate and community sectors," said NACDA Chief Executive Officer Pat Manak. "Their diverse backgrounds and perspectives will greatly assist and enhance our efforts to shine a light on the outstanding efforts of student-athletes outside of their sport."
The Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Winter) will honor a total of 20 student-athletes (10 male and 10 female) across all winter sports and all divisions, who make outstanding contributions in the community. These individuals embody the true spirit of teamwork and giving back through commendable acts of philanthropy.
Rossi joins the committee with her insight from her tenure as the VP of Athletics at The College of Idaho as well as serving on the NACDA Executive Committee and being the current NAIA-ADA President.
