Paul O'Neill Makes MCLA All-America Team

ATLANTA, Ga. - The Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA), the preeminent non-varsity league in North America, has released its Division II All-America teams for the 2024 season. Among the honorees is the Yotes' Paul O'Neill. O'Neill earned second team All-America for his contributions to the squad that made it to the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League (PNCLL) semi final. The Yotes wrapped up the season with a 7-4 record and finished #21 in the final poll of the season.

O'Neill's contributions to the team were immense. By the end of the season he accumulated 62 points from 30 goals and 32 assists. The well balanced midfielder led all midfielders in the MCLA with 5.63 points per game. One of the most important games of the season was hosting the then #7 University of Montana. He led the game with five points from three goals and a pair of assists to lead the Yotes to a triple overtime stunner against the Griz.

Beyond prolific scoring, O'Neill was crucial in recapturing possession defensively. The lock-down defender picked up 37 ground-balls across the season. His work without the ball contributed to holding opponents to five goals or less five times this season, including a shut-out against Pacific Lutheran.
