EUGENE, Ore. - The College of Idaho beach volleyball team split on the day to lock in third place in the Cascade Collegiate Conference on Friday. The Yotes dropped a 3-2 decision to Corban to begin the day, coming back with a 4-1 win over Bushnell to wrap up the day.

Corban won at No. 2 and No. 4 pairs to start the match and clinched the match with a win by the No. 5 pair of Cammie Masanda and Angela Stover by a 21-12, 21-18 win.

College of Idaho (6-6, 6-5 CCC) came back with wins by the No. 3 and No. 1 pair. An injury gave the Yotes a win at No. 3 as the pair of
Liza Montalbo and
Emily Vandenberg were leading 21-14, 14-8 when the Warriors were force to withdraw due to an injury. The No. 1 Yotes pair of
Haley McUne and
Sydney Dews was engaged in a back-and-forth matchup with the Warriors' Emma Bischoff and Megan Dennis. McUne and Dews prevailed with a 21-19, 19-21, 15-11.

The Yotes came back with a 4-1 win over Bushnell, later in the day. The two teams split the first two matchups with
Keylee Wilson and
Ellie Baker at the No. 4 pair, getting the first win. Bushnell tied it at 1 with a win at the No. 2 pair. The College of Idaho came back with wins at the 1's, 3's, and 5's to seal the victory.

The win for C of I secured a potential tiebreaker over Bushnell to clinch third-place in the CCC.
