CALDWELL, Idaho – A 30-2 run to begin the contest propelled No. 3 College of Idaho to a 116-69 win over Warner Pacific on Friday night.
College of Idaho (21-2, 16-1 CCC) put up 100 points for the third-consecutive contest and for the sixth time in eight contests in the win. Also for the third time and sixth time in eight games, the Yotes put up at least 50 points in the first 20 minutes. The 116 points in the win are a season-high and most since a 118-point effort against Multnomah on Feb. 4, 2023.
Dougie Peoples came off the bench to score a game-high 27 points, making four three 3-pointers on the night to lead six Yotes in double figures. Drew Wyman scored 20, Johnny Radford added 15 on four 3-pointers, Tyler Robinett had 12 with a pair of 3-pointers, Samaje Morgan had 11 and Jake O'Neil had 12 points, a game-high 10 rebounds and six assists.
Warner Pacific (2-21, 0-17) were able to land three in double figures as Maxwell Moses scored a team-best 17 points. Collin Oestereich added 11 and Mark Wishom provided 10 in the contest.
The first six points were scored by three-different Yotes to begin the contest. The unselfish play continued for the rest of the contest with 26 assists on 44 field goals and as 12 of the 14 Yotes, who came on to the court broke into the scoring ledger.
The weekend will conclude with a 5 p.m. matchup against Multnomah on Saturday.
