CALDWELL, Idaho – For the fourth-straight game, No. 3 College of Idaho men's basketball eclipsed the century mark and extended its winning streak to 17 with a 113-82 win over Multnomah on Saturday.
College of Idaho (22-2, 17-1 CCC) put five players in double figures as Drew Wyman had his first double double of the season with 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Yotes. Also with 19 points was Dougie Peoples, who hit five 3-pointers. Samaje Morgan added 16, Johnny Radford had 15 and Tyler Robinett poured in 14.
Multnomah (9-15, 4-14 CCC) had four in double figures with an 18-point effort Marje Windfield. He was joined in double figures by Josiah Sewell, who added 15, Miles Macadory and Tyrese Taylor had 13 and 10, respectively.
On the first two possessions of the contest, the Yotes quickly set the tone of the game as Jake O'Neil and Drew Wyman teamed up to each score a basket and assist one another on the respective plays. Later in the half, Multnomah managed to cut the deficit to three on a pair of occasions. A Paul Wilson layup with 4:33 left in the opening half put the Yotes up by double digits for the remainder of the contest. The closest the visitors from Portland would be for the remainder of the contest would be 17 points.
College of Idaho put up 50+ points in the first 20 minutes for the fourth-straight game and won by at least 24 points for the ninth-consecutive tilt. The recipe for this success has been in the last nine games, the Yotes have shot at least 47.7% from the field and made double-digit 3-pointers, including a season-high 20 against Multnomah in the win. The 20 3-pointers are the most since the Yotes also hit 20 against Northwest Indian College on November 23, 2018.
Up next is the final regular season road trip for College of Idaho as they will face Evergreen State on Friday, Feb. 16 at 8:30 p.m. (MT) and Northwest on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 6 p.m. (MT).
