BROOKINGS, South Dakota – On day one of the 2024 NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships, the College of Idaho women's track and field teams qualified one individual (
Ellyse Tingelstad) and a relay (distance medley) to Saturday's finals.
The women's distance medley relay team of
Kahea Figueira,
Charlotte Bowman,
Kylee Quinton and
Abbey Shirts recorded the fastest qualifying time of 11:57.63. Tingelstad in her quest for a third individual All-American honor posted the fourth-fastest qualifying mark in the 5000m run with a time of 17:35.07.
On the men's side, Elias Everist competed in the 5,000m run and posted a time of 15:18.72. The time was not fast enough to advance to Saturday's finals.
