Caldwell, Idaho – No. 22 College of Idaho (2-0) continued its hot start by putting up 10-straight goals en route to a 31-2 win over Puget Sound.
Alex Ozuna led the Yotes attack with 10 goals on the day. He was one of six Yotes to find the net which included points leader
Nate Badger contributing to 11 goals (seven goals and four assists).
Kip Childs also had a heavy hand in the scoring by adding six goals and an assist.
The offense wasn't the only think clicking on the night. While holding the Loggers to only two goals, the Yotes were able to collect 58 ground balls. Co-leading the team in ground balls was
Ty Burnett and
Kale Brunmeier as they both collected nine a piece during the contest. Making it even more challenging for the Loggers, the Yotes were able to win 31 out of 35 faceoffs for a staggering 89%-win rate.
Next weekend, College of Idaho will travel to Logan, Utah to face No. 18!Utah State (1-1) and Southern Utah (0-0).
