Yotes Reach Triple Digits in Commanding Win Over Mountaineers

LA GRANDE, Ore. — The College of Idaho Yotes surged to a commanding 103-57 victory over Eastern Oregon on Saturday night, dominating in all phases of the game to secure their first 100-point outing of the season.

The Yotes (8-1, 3-0 CCC) set the tone early, opening with a 9-0 run fueled by Drew Wyman's three-pointer and Tyler Robinett's sharp shooting. By halftime, the lead had ballooned to 50-21, thanks to College of Idaho's efficient offense (53.3% shooting in the first half) and stifling defense that held the Mountaineers to 27.6% from the field.

The second half followed a similar script, with the Yotes continuing to dominate inside and out. Johnny Radford caught fire from beyond the arc, finishing with a team-high 16 points on 4-of-7 shooting from deep. Alex Germer and Dougie Peoples came off the bench to provide a spark, combining for 27 points. Paul Wilson was a force in the paint, grabbing 12 rebounds and adding eight points, while Robinett contributed 12 points and five assists.

Eastern Oregon (5-3, 1-2 CCC) struggled to find any rhythm offensively. Malachi Afework led the Mountaineers with 14 points, but the team's 31.0% shooting and 14.8% from three-point range were not enough to challenge the Yotes.

College of Idaho's bench proved decisive, outscoring Eastern Oregon's reserves 47-26, and the Yotes turned 13 offensive rebounds into key second-chance points.

With the win, the Yotes remain unbeaten in Cascade Collegiate Conference play and look to build on their momentum as they continue their road stretch next weekend at Walla Walla University and Lewis-Clark State College.
