COLUMBIA, Mo. – Six College of Idaho runners earned All-American honors at the NAIA National Cross Country Championships on Friday, as the Yotes captured the men's team title and cemented their place among the elite programs in the nation.
The Yotes overcame a 20-point deficit late in the race to secure their second consecutive national championship, led by a sixth-place finish from Daniel Butler. Hayden Bostrom (11th), Elias Everist (13th), and Oclan Ryan (26th) also claimed All-American honors, awarded to the top 40 finishers. On the women's side, Kahea Figueira finished 11th to earn All-American accolades, joined by Julia Gilbert, who placed 35th.
"It's an incredible accomplishment to have six All-Americans between both teams," head coach Dom Bolin said. "Their dedication and drive have been the foundation of our success this season."
The men's team performance earned the Yotes Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) Team of the Week recognition, adding to a season filled with accolades. The team swept CCC team titles, while Butler was named USTFCCCA West-Region Runner of the Year.
For his efforts in leading the program, Bolin was named NAIA Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year, his second consecutive honor after guiding the women to a national title in 2023.
"To receive this award is a reflection of the incredible athletes and support staff I'm fortunate to work with," Bolin said. "This group has set the bar high, and it's a privilege to coach them."
The championship marks the culmination of a remarkable season for College of Idaho cross country, with both teams finishing strong on the national stage. The men captured their first national title, while the women placed seventh in a rebuilding year.
"These athletes have shown what it means to represent the Yotes with pride and perseverance," Bolin said. "We're excited to celebrate these achievements and look forward to what's next for our program."
The Yotes' All-American honorees and Bolin's recognition underscore the program's position as a powerhouse in NAIA cross country, continuing its tradition of excellence.
