Caldwell, Idaho – The College of Idaho men's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak in Cascade Conference play to six games following a hard-fought 1-1 tie against Warner Pacific on Saturday at Simplot Stadium.
Warner Pacific opened the scoring in the 28th minute when Bryan Sanguino capitalized on a rebound after College of Idaho goalkeeper Ben Anderson made a spectacular save. However, the Yotes responded quickly after a pivotal moment early in the second half. In the 48th minute, Anderson saved a penalty kick from Pedro Calderon, which sparked a surge of momentum for the Yotes.
Just four minutes later, in the 52nd minute, Jorge Fernandez leveled the match with a stunning goal, assisted by Keidin Green. This marked Fernandez's 11th goal of the season.
Anderson had a standout performance, recording nine saves throughout the match, helping to keep the game tied despite a barrage of 20 shots from Warner Pacific. The game was physically intense, with a total of 29 fouls called—16 against Warner Pacific and 13 against the Yotes.
The College of Idaho will close out the regular season tomorrow against Multnomah, with kickoff scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at Simplot Stadium.
