CALDWELL, Idaho - The one-two punch of Olivia Sprague and Gabbie Gascon, who scored 26 and 21 points, respectively, led visiting Oregon Tech to a 71-53 win over host College of Idaho on Friday night.

The Owls (15-1, 9-1 CCC) scored the first 10 points in the contest and led the entire game. Oregon Tech shot 42.4% from the field and made 8 of 14 3-pointers in the win.

A 13-point effort from
Kylie Waltermeyer led the Yotes, who fall to 5-14 and 5-8 CCC. She was joined in double figures by
Brooke Beresford, who had 11.

Despite the early deficit, College of Idaho showed the same fight as it has all season long. After being down 10-0 early, a 10-2 spurt toward the end of the opening quarter made it a two-point game with 2:08 left. The two teams managed to miss five of the last six shots from the field in the opening quarter as the Owls held a 15-10 lead.
Four times in the second quarter, College of Idaho had the deficit down to two against the Owls. The Yotes were unable to secure a lead. OIT scored 14 of the next 20 points to push the advantage to double digits for nearly the rest of the contest. Trailing by seven with 4:29 left in the fourth quarter, OIT scored the next nine points to make It a double-digit lead for the rest of the game.
Next, the College of Idaho will face Southern Oregon on Saturday at 3 p.m. The Raiders won the earlier meeting on December 1, 72-53.
