Record-Setting Win for College of Idaho Men's Basketball in 107-40 Win Over Evergreen

College of Idaho Scores 100+ Points in Three-Straight Games for First Time in Program History

CALDWELL, Idaho – No. 3 College of Idaho started the game with the first 11 points on a 19-4 run en route to a 107-40 win over Evergreen on Saturday. College of Idaho has scored over 100 points in its last three games for the first time in program history.

The Yotes (16-2, 11-1 CCC) shot a season-best 59.2% from the field – the highest since a 60.4% clip against Corban on February 25, 2023 – as five players scored in double figures in the win.
Dougie Peoples scored a team-best 20 points, making four 3-pointers in the rout. Samaje Morgan had 17 points and eight assists, Tyler Robinett added 15 on the strength of four 3-pointers, Jake O'Neil had his sixth double double of the season with 12 points and a team-best 11 rebounds, Drew Wyman added 10.

The Geoducks (3-13, 2-9 CCC) shot just 22.4% from the field in the loss. Kohrey Bridges scored a team-best nine points, Mubarak Michael and Elijah Mclaughlin each had seven.

A pair of 3-pointers by Robinett, a 3-pointer by Wyman, and a layup by O'Neil set the tone for the early 11-0 lead. The Geoducks got into the scoring ledger on a pair of baskets by Michael to make it a seven-point game; however, College of Idaho scored the next 20 of the next 23 to push the game out of reach with 11:25 left in the first half. The Yotes went into halftime with a 63-23 lead – the 63 points are the most by a College of Idaho team since a 75-point effort against Walla Walla on January 28, 2023, last season.

With all the offensive fireworks in the first 20 minutes, the College of Idaho defense kept its name in the story with its stifling efforts in the final 20 minutes. The Yotes held the Geoducks to 19.4% (6-for-31) shooting from the field and 7.7% (1-for-13) from on 3-point attempts. Peoples scored 13 of his 20 as College of Idaho shot 51.5% (17-for-33) from the field in the win.

Next, the College of Idaho will host Oregon Tech on Friday, January 26 at 7:30 p.m.
