CALDWELL, Idaho - A pair of second half goals was enough to propel the Yotes on Sunday to a win against Rocky Mountain College, winning by a score of 2-0.
Tom Baynard-Smith had another extraordinary game in goal, recording five saves and recording yet another clean sheet in the win. The Yotes defense has recorded four straight clean sheets, with the last goal allowed coming against Whitman back on September 1.
Eric Hornung continued his impressive run as of late, scoring in his third consecutive game in the 59th minute, coming off an assist from
Joao Bastos. The goal would give Hornung his eighth point on the weekend.
In the 83rd minute, following a corner kick that bounced around the box,
J.J. Osuna wound up with the ball and put it past RMC keeper Stefan Schenk for his second of the year, giving the Yotes a 2-0 lead.
The Yotes will be back in action on Friday, playing host to Southern Oregon at 4 p.m. at Simplot Stadium to start homecoming weekend.
