La Grande, Ore. - The final day of the Cascade Collegiate Conference track and field championships saw the men finish sixth with 77 points. Host Eastern Oregon took the team title with 205 points.
The Yotes were led by a third-place finishes on the final day en route to all-conference recognition. The meet ended with the 4x400m relay team of
Hunter Gilbert;
Trajan Holtzen;
Lane Maher;
Zach Curtsinger crossing the line for a third-place finish (3:21.48). Earlier in the day,
Braden Heath took third in the 5000 (15.22.67).
In the field events, the Yotes picked up points from a pair of two-sport athletes -
Tanner Sackman and
Spencer Fiske. Sackman recorxed a seventh-place finish in the hammer throw (158-1 / 48.18m) and Fiske was seventh in the javelin with a throw of 157-7 (48.03m).
