NAMPA, Idaho – The College of Idaho women's track and field team took part in the NNU Open on Saturday.
Sage Martin led a sweep of the top three finishers in the 1500m run in a time of 4:35.64. Her time is a NAIA "A" qualifying mark. Behind her in second was
Charlie Duff (4:47.64) and
Megan McManus (4:58.44). The time by Duff qualifies her for the CCC Championships.
Four Yotes picked up second-place finishes on the afternoon including
Emma Campbell in the 3,000m steeplechase (13:53.60),
Ally Sofaly in the 100m hurdles (15.91).
Sage Wood in the 100m dash with a time of 12.78. Plus,
Kahea Figueira and
Jovi Kuskie were second (2:20.58) and third (2:23.60), respectively in the 800m run. The performance by Figueira and Sofaly secures them spots at the upcoming CCC Championships.
The 4x100m relay team of Bowman, Trent, Wood and Barylski was second in 48.41 and the 4x400m relay team of Wood,
Zoe Butler, Barlyski and
Roby Young were second in a time of 4:06.93.
In the field events,
Addison Trent set a new school record in the long jump with a winning leap of 18-4.25 (5.59m). Plus,
Sara Vanderwyk won the triple jump with a leap of 35-3.25 (10.75m) and Jada Kinser was third with a jump of 33-6.5 (10.22m), in addition,
Roby Young was second in the high jump with a clearance of 5-4 ¼ (1.63m).
