CORVALLIS, Ore. – College of Idaho junior
Sage Martin for the second time this spring has been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference / Rize Laboratory Women's Track Athlete of the Week.
Martin, a junior from Meridian, posted the fastest time in the NAIA, winning the 3,000m steeplechase at the Whitworth Peace Meet on Friday, April 7. She clocked a winning time of 10:34.90 - 38 seconds ahead of her closest competitor. Martin also has the fifth fastest time in the NAIA in the 5,000m run (16:48).
Next up for Martin is the Northwest Nazarene Invitational on Saturday, April 15 in Nampa.
