NAMPA, Idaho – The College of Idaho women's track and field team opened up the outdoor portion of its season in windy conditions at the Yote Icebreaker on Saturday.
Returning All-American
Abbey Shirts posted a NAIA "B" qualifying mark and a CCC Championship qualifying time with a winning time in the 800m (2:15.22).
The Yotes also had six event winners on the afternoon, including
Charlotte Bowman in the 100 (13.18),
Sage Wood in the 200 (26.48),
Sage Martin in the 1500 (4:47.11),
Graycee Litton in the 100 hurdles (18.72),
Morgan Harrison won the high jump (4-11 / 1.50m),
Addison Trent won the long jump (16-5 ¾ / 5.02m) and
Sophi Clay in the triple jump (33-11 ½ / 10.35m).
Plus,
Star Herron was third in the shot put (37-1 /11.30m) and hammer throw (149-8 / 45.63m).
The performances by Clay, Herron, Harrison, Trent, Wood and Martin qualify them for the end of the season CCC Championship.
