WIN STREAKS BY THE NUMBERS:

FAMILIAR TERRITORY: With the exception of the CoVID season, College of Idaho has reached the quarterfinals for the last four seasons. The Yotes also reached quarters in 1988 (lost to Grand Canyon, 1989 (lost to St. Mary's [TX]), 1993 (lost to Northern State [ND]), 1996 (beat Wisconsin Lutheran), 2001 (lost to Northwestern [IA]) and 2015 (lost to Dakota Wesleyan).

JUST WIN BABY:  With 33-straight wins, College of Idaho has the longest active winning streak in college men's basketball. As of Mar. 9, South Carolina (NCAA Division I) is 32-0 (with six at the end 2021-22 have won its last 38) has the most consecutive wins in college basketball. The 33 wins by College of Idaho are a school record and the most in the NAIA.

UNANIMOUS AT THE TOP: The College of Idaho men's basketball team received all 20 first-place votes to remain No. 1 in the latest 2022-23 NAIA Men's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll announced on February 22. The Yotes have been in the top spot for the last four (unanimous in the last two) rankings and in the top four for the entire season.

CARRYING THE CCC TORCH: Of the four Cascade Collegiate Conference teams that received bids to the NAIA National Tournament, College of Idaho remains the lone CCC team in the national tournament. Thomas More defeated Eastern Oregon, 66-44; Langston defeated Southern Oregon, 81-64 and Arizona Christian edged Corban, 61-59.

HANDING OUT HARDWARE: Colby Blaine became the first coach in program history to be named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Coach of the Year on three occasions. He has led College of Idaho to 30 wins in the last five seasons with the exception of the CoVID season of 2020-21. Three players – Jake O'Neil, Johnny Radford and Drew Wyman - were named to the all-Cascade Collegiate Conference Team with Tyler Robinett being selected honorable mention. Charles Elzie became the seventh player in program history to be named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Year.

ACADEMIC HONORS: Sophomore Drew Wyman became the first player in program history to pick up Academic All-American honor on Tuesday. The biomedical sciences major is just one of two sophomores along with Tate Ivanyo of Anderson University across all levels of college men's basketball to receive this prestigious honor.

CHARLES IN CHARGE: Junior Charles Elzie has seen action in eight NAIA National Tournament games to lead the Yotes. The four-game run to the NAIA Round of Eight in 2021-22 allowed Caden Handran, Tyler Robinett, Jake O'Neil and Drew Wyman to gain valuable experience. Elzie scored a career-high 25 points on a career-best nine field goals and tied a career-high with four 3-pointers in the NAIA Round of 16 win over LSU-Shreveport on Monday.
