PLAYOFF BASKETBALL: C of I has an 100-55 all-time post-season record. This is the 25th-straight season the Yotes have advanced to the playoffs and their 40th postseason appearance in 41 years. C of I has played 70 all-time postseason games at home (between Kirkpatrick Gym, O'Connor Fieldhouse and the Activities Center), posting a 60-10 all-time record. 

ALL-TIME AT NATIONALS: With the Cascade Conference regular-season title, the Yotes clinched an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship. It is the Coyotes 10th trip to the stand-alone NAIA Championship, posting a 10-9 mark – including trips to the national quarterfinals in 1988 and 1989. C of I made 15 trips to the NAIA Division II Championships, having posted a 24-13 record in the tournament – including trips to the quarterfinals in 1993, 2001 and 2015, semifinal appearances in 2018 and 2019, and winning the 1996 NAIA title. 

SECOND ROUND SUCCESS: With the win over Xavier University of Louisiana, College of Idaho has won its last four NAIA Second Round games with the last loss coming on the road against College of the Ozarks (Mo.) on March 12, 2014. 

JUST WIN BABY:  With 32-straight wins, College of Idaho has the longest active winning streak in college men's basketball. As of Mar. 9, South Carolina (NCAA Division I) is 32-0 (with six at the end 2021-22 have won its last 38) has the most consecutive wins in college basketball.  The 32 wins by College of Idaho are the most in the NAIA.

UNANIMOUS AT THE TOP: The College of Idaho men's basketball team received all 20 first-place votes to remain No. 1 in the latest 2022-23 NAIA Men's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll announced on February 22. The Yotes have been in the top spot for the last four (unanimous in the last two) rankings and in the top four for the entire season.

CARRYING THE CCC TORCH: Of the four Cascade Collegiate Conference teams that received bids to the NAIA National Tournament, College of Idaho remains the lone CCC team in the national tournament. Thomas More defeated Eastern Oregon, 66-44; Langston defeated Southern Oregon, 81-64 and Arizona Christian edged Corban, 61-59.

HANDING OUT HARDWARE: Colby Blaine became the first coach in program history to be named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Coach of the Year on three occasions. He has led College of Idaho to 30 wins in the last five seasons with the exception of the CoVID season of 2020-21. Blaine heads into next week's NAIA National Tournament with an all-time mark of 133-24 and a winning percentage of .847. Three players – Jake O'Neil, Johnny Radford and Drew Wyman - were named to the all-Cascade Collegiate Conference Team with Tyler Robinett being selected honorable mention. Charles Elzie became the seventh player in program history to be named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Year.

ACADEMIC HONORS: Sophomores Whitt Miller and Drew Wyman have picked up a pair of academic honors in the postseason. On Thursday, March 9, the two were named to 2023 Daktronics NAIA Men's Basketball Scholar-Athletes. Both Miller and Wyman were also named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District.
