CALDWELL, Idaho – Three members of the College of Idaho women's Track and Field Team and two relay teams secured spots at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships , March 2-4 at the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex in Brookings, South Dakota.
Among the qualifiers were
Sage Martin (Meridian, Idaho) in the mile (5:03.58)
Abbey Shirts (Weiser, Idaho) in the 1,000m run (2:54.60) and
Ellyse Tingelstad in the 3,000m run (10:13.58) along with the Yotes' 4x800m and distance medley relays.
For Martin, it is her third appearance at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships and second in an individual event. She finished 20
th in the 3,000m run in 2022. For Shirts, it is also her third appearance at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships. It is the first appearance for Tingelstad in an individual event at the nationals and her third overall appearance.
