La Grande, Ore. – The College of Idaho women's track and field teams took part in the EOU Last Chance Meet for the last two days.
The two-day meet got underway with the 4x800m relay team of
Kahea Figueira,
Charlie Duff,
Megan McManus and
Ellyse Tingelstad post a NAIA "B" qualifying time of 9:48.47. Also, on Friday,
Morgan Harrison won the high jump with a season-best clearance of 4-11.75 (1.52m).
On the track,
Abbey Shirts clocked a NAIA "A" qualifying and winning time in the 1,000m run with a time of 2:59.44.
Ellyse Tingelstad led three Yotes in the mile with a winning time of 5:19.61,
Molly Connor was third in 5:44.84 and
Emma Campbell was fourth in 5:50.75. Plus,
Sage Wood was third in the 60m dash with a time of 8.02 and Jada Kinser was fifth in 8.38.
Sage Wood took third in the 200m dash with a time of 27.56.
In the field events,
Taylor Durfey led three Yotes in the top six in the shot put. Durfey recorded a toss of 38-2.75 (11.65m) on her way to a third-place finish.
Star Herron was fifth with a toss of 36-10.5 (11.24m) and
Ruby Kessinger was sixth with a toss of 35-1.25 (10.70m). Herron took sixth in the weight throw with a toss of 45-2.25 (13.77m).
Plus,
Sophi Clay led three Yotes with season-best performances in the triple jump with a third-place finish with a season-best of 35-3.25 / 10.75m in the triple jump, followed by a fourth-place finish (33-9.5 / 10.30m) by teammate Jada Kinser and a fifth-place performance by
Sara Vanderwyk with a jump of 33-6.75 (10.23m). Harrison and Clay shared third in the long jump with a jump of 15-11.75 (4.87m).
Sage Wood was third in the pole vault with a season-best clearance of 9-1.5 (2.78m).
Lastly,
Rachel Pletcher was fifth in the pentathlon as she accumulated 2,047 points.
