CALDWELL, Idaho - No. 1 College of Idaho extended its winning streak to 25 games with a 97-74 rout of Bushnell on Saturday night. Four Yotes scored in double figures including
Jake O'Neil (15 pts.) and
Connor Cooper (10 pts.), who were recognized in pre-game ceremonies. Also in double figures were
Drew Wyman and
Johnny Radford, who had 14 and 13 points, respectively.
College of Idaho (25-1, 20-0 CCC) built a 59-22 halftime lead on the strength of 71.4% (25-for-35) shooting in the first 20 minutes. Radford scored 11 of his 13 to lead the Yotes, who made 7 of 12 3-pointers and limited Bushnell to 26.7% (8-for-30) shooting.
Bushnell (11-15, 9-11 CCC) was able to land three players in double figures as Stevie Schlabach added 17, Kaden Sand added 14 and Spencer Hoffman provided 12. The Beacons managed to shoot 61.3% (19-for-31) in the second half as they outscored the Yotes by a 52-38 margin.
The Yotes scored 27 of the first 29 points of the game in the first nine minutes on its way to the win. College of Idaho managed to stretch the lead to as large as 37 in the first half.
College of Idaho outscored Bushnell, 48-20 on points in the paint and 44-14 in bench scoring in the win.
The Yotes will wrap up the regular season with games at Northwest (Fri., Feb. 17) and Evergreen (Sat., Feb. 18).
