College of Idaho Makes It 24 Straight With 84-63 Win Over Corban

CALDWELL, Idaho - No. 1 College of Idaho shot 56.9% (33-for-58) from the field, including 55% (11-for-20) from beyond the three-point line on its way to an 84-63 win over Corban on Friday night. Four-different Yotes hit a 3-pointer and four also scored in double figures - Charles Elzie (15 pts.), Tyler Robinett and Drew Wyman (14 pts.) and Samaje Morgan (10 pts.) in the win. 
College of Idaho (24-1, 19-0 CCC) erased an early six-point deficit, 19-13 and managed to tie the game at 24 with 8:05 left in the first half. The Yotes scored the final seven points of the first half to take a 43-33 lead at the break. The 10-point lead at half was the 15th time on the season where College of Idaho has led by double digits at the intermission. Elzie scored 10 of his 15 in the first half to lead the Yotes, who shot 56.7% (17-for-30) in the first 20 minutes. 
Corban (17-8, 13-6 CCC) had two players in double figures - James Carlston scored a team-high 13 and Darius Henderson added 10. The Warriors managed to shoot 53.8% (14-for-26) in the first half but the second half saw College of Idaho hold them to a 31% (9-for-21) effort.
The Yotes stretched a 10-point halftime to as much as 14 in the first five minutes and as large as 23 in the closing minutes. Corban cut the deficit to four, 43-39, with back-to-back 3-pointers to start the second half. College of Idaho erased the comeback hopes with 10 straight that included a pair of 3-pointers by Johnny Radford and another by Tyler Robinett on its way to the win.
Next, College of Idaho will wrap up the home portion of the regular season schedule with a contest against Bushnell on Saturday at 5 p.m. Before the game, the Yotes will recognize Conner Cooper, Charles Elzie, Tyler Harris and Jake O'Neil.
