Eastern Oregon scored the first 14 points of the game on its way to an 83-59 win over the College of Idaho women's basketball team on Saturday. Despite the early deficit, the Yotes managed to outscore the Mountaineers in the second and third quarters as they attempted to mount a comeback.

Kylie Waltermeyer paced C of I with a team-best 12 points and shared the team lead with 2 assists as the Yotes fall to 2-10 overall and 2-4 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. Also for College of Idaho,
Emma Anderson grabbed a team-best 10 rebounds.

The Mountaineers, who raise their record to 7-3 overall and 3-3 in the CCC, were paced by four in double figures as Brie Holecek scored a game-high 20. She was joined in double figures by Beverly Slater, who added 16, Macie Elliott poured in 14 and Haley Robinett provided 10.

The early run was sparked by three-straight 3-pointers by Elliott to start the game.
Despite the early deficit, College of Idaho managed later in the game to get the deficit down to 18 as the early spurt was too much for the visitors.

EOU shot 48.5% the field and knocked down a season-high 13 3-pointers on its way to a season-high 83 points in the win.

th at noon against Walla Walla.
