Brooke Beresford led three in double figures as College of Idaho defeated Warner Pacific, 74-54 on Saturday. The freshman from Woodinville, Wash. scored a season-high 15 points, she was joined in double figures by
McKenzie Hirsch, who had 10 in the win. Beresford had a team-best nine rebounds and three assists in the win.
College of Idaho (2-9, 2-3 CCC) shot a season-best 52.7% from the field and matched a season-high with 16 assists in the win.
Warner Pacific (5-4, 3-2 CCC) picked up a team-high nine points from McKeely Tonkin.
In two of the four quarters – the second (28.6%) and the fourth (31.3%) – the Yotes held the host Knights below 32% shooting from the field. College of Idaho started the game on a 7-2 run. Later in the game, the Yotes stretched the lead to as much as 25 for its biggest advantage against an opponent on the season.
Next, College of Idaho will have a rematch against Eastern Oregon on Saturday, Dec. 30 in La Grande at 3 p.m. (PST)/4 p.m. (MT).
