PORTLAND, Ore. - The College of Idaho men's soccer team fell on Saturday to Warner Pacific in the regular season finale, losing by a score of 3-1.
The game was fairly even between both sides, as the shots were nearly even, with the Knights having the edge at 11-9. The first goal of the game came in the first half from WPU's Hunter Leach, who put the ball past the Yotes keeper to make it 1-0 in favor of the home team.
In the second half, the lone goal for College of Idaho came in the 52nd minute off the boot of
Jorge Fernandez, who took the ball from
Pol Romero to square the game at one. From there, the Knights were able to answer, as Chanin Orlandin took the ball from Leach to make it 2-1 in favor of the Knights. To round out the scoring, Bryce McCole added his name to the score sheet to end the game at 3-1 in favor of the host.
On deck, the Yotes will compete at the CCC Championships, presented by U.S. Bank, hosted in Springfield, Oregon starting on November 6.
