CALDWELL, Idaho - In a highly physical bout, the Yotes and Beacons tied on Saturday evening, with the game ending 2-2.
The game saw a combined 14 fouls with 10 yellow cards handed out. Both teams were able to have steady possession in the first half, but neither side was able to break through in the score column in the first 45 minutes.
In the 47th minute, Bushnell's Francisco Cayolla broke through the scoreless deadlock, putting the ball past
Tom Baynard-Smith to give the Beacons the lead. Just five minutes later,
Grant Embree took the corner from
Hugo Guevara to square the game up at one each.
In the 79th minute, following a foul in the box,
Emil Powles converted on the penalty kick to give the Yotes a 2-1 lead with just over ten minutes to play. The lead would not last long, as Bushnell's Jorge Lopez found the ball on his foot with just under four minutes remaining to tie the game once again, which would hold to be the final score.
The Yotes 2023 regular season campaign will end in Portland next weekend, travelling to play Multnomah and Warner Pacific.
