CALDWELL, Idaho - The College of Idaho baseball team was victorious in game two against Linfield, winning Saturday's contest, 10-7.
Five different Yotes pitchers saw action in the second to last regular season game.
Connor Root got the start, going two innings allowing five hits while striking out three.
Andrew Vaughn was tabbed with the win, as he followed Root by going two innings, as he did not allow a hit and struck out three.
Luke Brewer and
Colby Durski also went two innings, as
Erik Wisenor came in to close the door.
The Yote offense saw two-RBI performances from three individuals, being
Jonah Hultberg,
Kirby Robertson, and
Weston Miller.
Cameron Goetz,
Dillon Danner, and
Trevor Watkins also earned RBI's in the victory.
The Linfield Wildcats jumped out to a 3-0 in the second inning thanks to RBI's from Jacob Campos, Jackson Horner, and Bodey Smith. The next Wildcat run would come in the sixth as Branden Pasion drove in two. Campos and Horner would add RBI's in the ninth to round out the Wildcat offense.
Up next for the Yotes is senior day tomorrow against Linfield. The seniors will be honored at 12:30, with game time at 1 p.m. at Wolfe Field.
