CALDWELL, Idaho - The Yotes offense drove in eight runs in the game one victory, taking down the Wildcats, 8-1.
Defensive blunders were in the Yotes favors, as two of the eight runs came off of Linfield errors.
Ben Gaff shined for the Yotes, driving in three runs on a 2-4 performance. The Yotes also saw multi-hit games from
Jonah Hultberg and
Kirby Robertson.
Linfield's offense came from Michael LaVigne and Jacob Campos, as the duo accounted for all five of the Wildcat hits. The lone Wildcat RBI came on an error as Cage Hardy reached base, scoring LaVigne.
Dimick Wood got the start for the Yotes, going five innings, allowing just three hits and not allowing a run.
Colby Durski followed Wood, going two innings and allowing two hits.
Jack Stewart ended the game by going two innings and not allowing a hit.
Up next for the Yotes is a single game on Saturday against Linfield, followed by senior day on Sunday.
