Roby Young wrapped up her performance at the CCC Combined Events Championship with a fourth-place finish, recording a NAIA "B" qualifying mark of 4,545 points.
Also, on Friday, College of Idaho took part in the Eastern Oregon Open. Among the top performances were
Kiersten Lancaster secured a NAIA "A" qualifying mark in the 100m hurdles with a winning time of 14.09. The time is the third fastest in school history.
Three of her teammates –
Rachel Pletcher (16.21),
Ashlyn Gerlock (16.63) and
Ruby Stewart (16.75) swept third thru fifth as they also posted CCC Championship qualifying marks. The time by Lancaster is the sixth fastest to date in the nation. Lancaster was second in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:07.29.
The Yotes also got a victory from
Larissa Mauer in the 3,000m steeplechase with a winning and CCC Championship qualifying time of 11:30.25. The performance by Mauer is the 22
nd fastest in the nation to date. The third win on the day came from
Kahea Figueira, who won the 1,500m run with a time of 4:55.00.
Jessica Dorohov and
Sage Wood took second (12.52) and third (12.70), respectively in the 100m dash. Wood and Dorhov were fourth (26.04) and fifth (26.15), respectively in the 200m dash. Both performances qualify the duo for the CCC Championship. Also in the 200m dash, Charlotte Wilson posted a CCC Championship qualifying performance with a time of 26.68.
In the field events,
Emily Fox posted a NAIA "B" qualifying mark with a win in the hammer throw with a toss of 161-0 (49.07m). The performance by Fox is the third best in the CCC and the 16
th best performance to date in the nation. She led three Yotes, who had CCC Championship qualifying marks as
Lily Campbell was sixth (143-0, 43.59m) and
AaLea Kolb was ninth (131-8, 40.14m).
Morgan Harrison was second in the high jump with a clearance of 5-1 ¾ (1.57m) with a CCC Championship qualifying mark. Four Yotes posted CCC Championship qualifying marks in the long jump led by
Naeve Rodgers, who on her final jump posted a leap of 16-9 ¾ (5.12m) to take third.
Dylan Lovett was fourth with a jump of 16-9 ¼ (5.11m),
Morgan Harrison was sixth with a jump of 16-2 ¼ (4.93m) and
Laken Wolf was seventh with a leap of 16-1 (4.90m).
Five Yotes posted CCC Championship qualifying marks in the triple jump led by Wolf, who posted a jump of 33-7 ¼ (10.24m) en route to a fifth-place finish. Lovett was sitxh (33-0 1/4 / 10.06m),
Roby Young was seventh (32-11 ¼ / 10.04m), Mari Bjornberg was eighth (31-9 ¼ / 9.68m) and Jada Kinser was ninth (31-6 ½ / 9.61m).
Four Yotes had CCC Championship qualifying marks in the shot put led by
Esther Ezeogu, who was fourth (37-9 ½ / 11.52m), Fox (fifth, 36-5 ½, 11.11m), Campbell (sixth, 36-3, 11.05m) and
AaLea Kolb (eighth, 35-7 ¾, 10.86m). Kolb was second in the discus with a CCC Championship with a toss of 127-7 (38.90m) and
Star Herron was fifth with a CCC Championship qualifying toss of 113-1 (34.46m).
Campbell posted her third CCC Championship qualifying mark on the day with a second-place finish in the javelin with a toss of 121-9 (37.10m).
